The Huntington Ravine trail is an extremely challenging hike that has a section that borders on rock climbing in the Huntington Ravine. Do not climb this route when it is raining and unless you are an extremely experience mountaineer with avalanche training and ice climbing experience avoid climbing this route in the winter. This route should also not be used for a descent route when climbing. The route listed below assumes an ascent via the Huntington Ravine Trail and a descent via the Tuckerman Ravine Trail.
To begin this hike drive to the Pinkham Notch Lodge Visitors Center on Route 16.
